The brief
A childcare centre cannot run with a kitchen that has no power or a smoke alarm out of service. Mayfield needed an electrician who could attend quickly, find the cause and explain the options in plain terms.
What Gen Z did
Lighting, power points, smoke alarms and test and tag across the centres. When a new dishwasher would not run, Gen Z checked the supply and the switchboard, found the existing 10A point could not supply the 15A the appliance needed, and set out the switchboard upgrade required. When a kitchen circuit kept tripping the safety switch, Gen Z traced it to a defective cable, isolated it and restored the four affected power points on the same visit, then quoted a new circuit.
